EduMindedLearning was founded by me, Meg Fischer — an educator, educational therapist, and parent coach who believes learning should never be one-size-fits-all.

EduMinded NYC

Hi, I’m Meg.

I know firsthand what it feels like to be the student who doesn’t quite “fit” the classroom mold. I was curious, talkative, and often told I was “hard to follow.” Traditional assignments didn’t always make sense to me — so I learned to find my own way of showing what I knew. Today, that’s the foundation of my work: helping students and families discover the version of learning that works for them.

For more than a decade, I’ve taught in classrooms, led programs, and coached teachers and parents. Along the way, one truth stood out: when parents understand how their child learns, and when kids feel seen for who they are, the entire family breathes easier.

That’s why EduMindedLearning supports both students and families. My work blends evidence-based interventions with what I call family psycho-education — clear, practical guidance that helps parents decode learning differences, navigate school systems, and feel confident at home. It’s not therapy, and it’s not a lecture. It’s real talk, backed by research, with strategies you can actually use on a Tuesday night when the homework tears begin.

I built EduMindedLearning for the students who are often overlooked in traditional classrooms, and for the families who want more than “wait and see.” My purpose is simple: to help kids thrive — and to give parents the tools and confidence to support them every step of the way.
